Venkaiah predicts fall of UPA Government

By Our Special Correspondent

SRIKAKULAM, FEB.12. The former Bharatiya Janata Party president, M. Venkaiah Naidu, has said the UPA (United Progressive Alliance) `experiment' at the Centre is bound to fail because the Congress does not have the ability to hold together coalition Governments.

Mr. Naidu, who was addressing a meeting of party office-bearers of the Srikakulam and Vizianagaram committees here, spoke to presspersons briefly.

New equations ahead

Mr. Naidu, who campaigned in Bihar recently, felt that there would be new political equations after the elections in the three States of Bihar, Jharkhand and Haryana. Asked if the UPA Government would last its full term, he said: "Let us see. The BJP is a party of the future. Have patience. Unlike other political parties, the BJP is a party with a mission. The mission is to uphold Indian culture and values and ensure all-round development and see that the nation occupies a pride of place in the international arena."
