Journalists told to be objective

ANANTAPUR, FEB. 13. The DIG of Police of Anantapur Range, N. Jayarami Reddy, on Sunday called upon journalists to strive for bringing out truth through their reporting. He also cautioned the scribes against distorting facts.

Speaking at the inaugural function of the two-day workshop for desk journalists organised here jointly by the Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists and the Andhra Pradesh Press Academy he lauded the role of media as the fourth estate.

Later, U. Anjaneyulu took a class on the coordination between reporters and desk, and K. Srinivas Reddy, the Senior Assistant Editor, The Hindu , on the layout of front page.
