JK Rajan triumphs

MADURAI, FEB. 14 . Jyan Karuguvel Rajan (Sivakasi Lions MHS) won the title in boys' under-18 section in the district-level chess tournament here on Sunday.

The results: Boys (u-18): 1. Jyan Karuguvel Rajan. U-14: 1. A. Kedharnath (Sivakasi Jaycees MS). U-12: 1. A. Nagarjuna (Sivakasi Jaycees School).

Girls (u-18): 1. S. Reshma Bhanu (Madurai Crescent MHSS). U-14: 1. R. Nanduja (Sivakasi MHSS). U-12: 1. A. Poonkuzhazhi (VHN Girls HSS, Sivakasi).
