This Day That Age
Prime Minister Nehru arrived in Cairo at daybreak on February 15 on a two-day state visit. Colonel Gamal Abdel Nasser, the Egyptian Premier, garlanded Mr. Nehru with flowers as he stepped out of the plane, and remarked, "You should not have come so early." The Indian Ambassador, Nawab Aly Jung and the British Ambassador, Sir Ralph Stevenson were among members of the diplomatic corps present.
