Panels set up on economic census

CHANDIGARH, FEB.15. The Haryana Government has constituted District Level Economic Census Steering

Committees, each headed by the Deputy Commissioner, to organise the fifth economic census in the State's districts and co-ordinate the activities of the various departments at the district level.

The Deputy Commissioner would be the Chairman-cum-District Economic Census Commissioner and the Additional Deputy Commissioner would be the Additional District Economic Census Commissioner. The District

Statistical Officer would be the Member-Secretary. The other eight members of the Committee would include Superintendent of Police, District Development and Panchayat Officer, District Education Officer or District Primary Education Officer, Executive Officer or Secretary of Municipal Committees or Councils,

Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Faridabad (for Municipal Corporation, Faridabad only), General Manager, District Industries Centre, Deputy Director, Agriculture and District Public Relations Officer.
