Manikandan shines
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM,
FEB. 15.
A fine all-round performance by Manikandan (77 and four for 43) enabled Masters CC post a 73-run win over Rovers CC in the Thiruvananthapuram district A division cricket league at the Agriculture College ground here on Tuesday.
Batting first, Masters CC rode on Manikandan's half-century to score 250 before being dismissed in the 40th over. The target proved to be difficult for Rovers batsmen who failed to get going against Manikandan (four for 43) and Thanu Krishnan (four for 61).
The scores: Masters CC 250 in 39.4 overs (Manikandan 77, Shine 43) bt Rovers CC 177 in 36.2 overs (Aron 80, Manikandan four for 43, Thanu Krishnan four for 61).
