Punjab, TN take the honours

Punjab and Tamil Nadu swept the titles with five and four gold medals respectively in the seventh National senior strength-building championship for men at the Kerala Samajam auditorium here on Sunday.
The winners:
52 kg: J. Vijaya Kumar (TN-52.5 (press) +35 (bicep curl) = 87.5 kg (total); 56 kg: Hira Sharma (Punjab 55+50 = 105); 60 kg: K. Biju (TN 40+40 = 80); 67.5 kg: Prithipal Singh (Punjab 67.5+60 = 127.5); 75 kg: Anil (Haryana 65+50 = 115); 82.5 kg: Parminder Singh (Punjab 85+67.5 = 152.5); 90 kg: N. Madhana Gopal (TN 72.5+62.5 = 135); 100 kg: Manmeet Singh Grewal (Punjab 102.5+77.5 = 180); 110 kg: Kapil Tiwari (Punjab 85-70 = 155); Above 110 kg: L. Murali (TN 60+50 = 110).
