Manipur is champion

IMPHAL, FEB. 15. Manipur defeated Punjab 3-2 to emerge victorious in the 11th sub-junior (under-16) National boys' hockey championship here on Monday.

Manjit, Y. Joychandra and N. Abung were the scorers for Manipur, while both goals for Punjab came from Ranender Singh. N. Abung of Manipur was declared man of the tournament.

Uttar Pradesh finished third defeating Himachal Pradesh 7-0. — UNI
