BANGALORE, FEB. 15. Hewlett Packard India today announced that it would be making a $3 billion investment in Integrity Server solutions over the next three years, according to the HP Senior Vice President and General Manager for Business Critical Servers, Richard Marcello. At a press conference, Mr. Marcello said that the HP software development team here would be playing a significant role in upgrading the Integrity server solutions. At present, over 500 Indian professionals were working in this area and that there would be further ramp up. He also announced that HP would strengthen its strategic tie-ups with Infosys and Tata Consultancy Services in the areas of financial and telecom services applications. "With technology innovations announced today, we continue to deliver our commitment to vault integrity servers to a leadership position in the $20 billion market served by RISC processors,'' Mr. Marcello said. HP, he said, had shipped over 500 units of Integrity servers to India alone in the last 18 months with the company surpassing $1 billion in sales of HP Integrity server related solutions globally. The solutions included servers, software, HP storageWorks system and hardware services. Key industries such as financial services, manufacturing, network and service providers besides the public sector were the main customers. Concurring this, the HP India Director for Enterprise Servers and Storage, Hemant Tiwari, said, "Indian customers are increasingly adopting Integrity server solutions because of their robust architecture and versatility.'' Integrity solutions were ideal for helping businesses seeking to set up a data centre and a high performance computer platform.
