Blasts mar Valentine's Day

By Haroon Habib

DHAKA: At least 12 persons including three women students of Dhaka University were injured in a serial bomb attack on a Valentine's Day funfair on the campus on Monday. Three blasts took place during a well-attended debate. The condition of some of the injured is stated to be "critical." Police also recovered several unexploded bombs. The blasts occurred when a countrywide 36-hour hartal was under way in protest against the January 27 grenade attack on an Opposition Awami League in which the MP and former Finance Minister, SAMS Kibria was killed.
