DHARMAVARAM, FEB. 15. The State deputy secretary of the Communist Party of India, K. Narayana, has observed that there is no difference between the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, and his predecessor, N. Chandrababu Naidu, on several issues and policies. Speaking at the delegates' meet on the second day of 19th district congress of the party here today, he urged the Government to be committed on the free power policy to all farmers instead of discriminating some farmers. He sought more transparency in the matter of tenders for irrigation projects. The issue should be sorted out by convening an all-party meet and the Government should think over taking up projects on its own instead of roping in the contractors, he felt.
Talks with naxals
Asking the Government to continue the process of dialogue with the naxalite parties, Dr. Narayana said the weapons issue too could be taken up in talks.
