THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, FEB. 15. The CPI State secretary, Veliyam Bhargavan, has described the one-year action plan announced by the Chief Minister a hoax. In a statement here today, Mr. Bhargavan said the action plan is wide off the real issues confronting the State and the people. It has no reference to the crisis in the farm sector and traditional industries. There is also no scheme to solve the problem of unemployment and the burning issues in the education and health sectors, he pointed out. The CPI leader said the Chief Minister would not be able to check corruption so long as he protects the corrupt elements in the Government and the bureaucracy. The nexus between the UDF leadership and the sandal, lottery and forest mafia and the liquor lobby is getting exposed with each passing day.
