VISAKHAPATNAM, FEB. 15. A woman died in a road accident near the TB Hospital junction here on Tuesday. The scooter on which Prameela, a Telugu lecturer at Vignan College, was going came under the wheels of an RTC bus. She died on the spot.
3 tribals held, freed
Three tribals, who were found in possession of arms, were taken into custody by the police at G.K. Veedhi mandal in the agency area on Sunday. According to the police, the trio were with naxalites during an exchange of fire on that day. The naxalites fled the scene after the exchange of fire. The tribals, however, put down their weapons and surrendered to the police. Sanjay Kumar Jain, SP, directed his men to release the surrendered tribals.
