Clear sky forecast

Mainly clear sky is forecast for Wednesday. Hot weather is likely to continue in some parts. Minimum temperature would be around 22 degrees Celsius. At Waltair, the maximum temperature was 30.7 degree C and the minimum 22.8 degree C respectively on Tuesday. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 74 per cent and at 5.30 p.m. was 74 per cent. At airport, the maximum and minimum temperatures were 37.6 degree C and 21.6 degree C respectively. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 87 per cent and at 5.30 p.m. was 63 per cent.

The maximum and minimum temperatures were 32.3 degree C and 22.4 degree C respectively at the Dolphin's Nose. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 72 per cent.

VUDA chief at Sarada Peetham

The new Chairman of Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority, P. Suryanarayana Raju, visited Sri Sarada Peetham in suburban Chinamushidivada on Tuesday and took the blessings of the peethadhipathi, Sri Swaroopananda Saraswathi Swami. Mr. Raju also took part in the peetham's anniversary celebrations.

Charter nite

The Visakha Valley Junior Chamber felicitated its 13 past presidents at its charter nite celebrations on Monday. The Managing Director of Sukhibhava, G.S. Krishna Murthy, was the chief guest. The VVJC president, V.S.V. Narayana Murthy, announced his decision to adopt one inmate of the blind school run by the Jeeyar Educational Trust in Vizianagaram. Ms. Meena Kumari spoke. Suhasini conducted a quiz programme for jaycees present.
