VIJAYAWADA, FEB. 15. N. Chandramouly assumed charge as Superintendent of Police of Krishna district at Machilipatnam on Tuesday. He took over from K. Lakshman Mohan, who has been promoted as Deputy Inspector-General of Police (CID) and posted in Hyderabad. Mr. Chandramouly joined the police service as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in 1980 and worked in Anantapur and Peddapalli. He also worked as Assistant Commissioner of Police at Sultan Bazar (Hyderabad) and Visakhapatnam. He was promoted as Additional SP in 1989. He worked as vigilance and enforcement officer in Karimnagar, Additional SP in Warangal and Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in Karimnagar. On promotions as a non-cadre SP in 1994, he worked as SP-intelligence in Warangal and Deputy Commissioner of Police in Vizag. He was conferred IPS in 2000 and allotted to the 1992 batch. He worked as SP of Vizianagaram, later in Hyderabad as SP in the intelligence wing and chief vigilance and security officer in AP Genco, before moving over to the Intelligence Department once again. He was posted SP of Krishna district in the recent transfers.
