KOCHI, FEB. 15. An exhibition of paintings and sculptures organised by the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi for supporting the Tsunami Relief Fund will begin at the Durbar Hall Art Centre here on Friday. The exhibition, including the works given by 82 artists, will be inaugurated by the Culture Minister, A. P. Anilkumar. The Minister will also present the Lalithakala Akademi Fellowships and Lalithakala Puraskaram of this year at the function. The Lalithakala Puraskaram, including a cash prize of Rs. 25,000, certificate, memento and ponnada would be given to the mural artist, K. K. Warriar. The senior artists, C.N. Karunakaran, and M. R. D. Dethan will be given the Akademi Fellowships. The exhibition will be on till February 21. All proceeds from the sales of the works exhibited in the show will be donated for the tsunami fund.
