Clear sky forecast

A clear sky with minimum temperature hovering around 17 degree Celsius has been the forecast for Wednesday.

The city on Tuesday recorded a maximum temperature of 37.2 degree Celsius and a minimum temperature of 16.0 degree Celsius. The relative humidity stood at 19 per cent.

UN consultant invited

A city-based UN consultant, R. Vasunder Reddy, has been invited by the Clinton Foundation to join its `growing community of like minded individuals' for its humanitarian work in various parts of the globe, including India, Africa, China, America and the Caribbean Islands, according to a press release.

Minister visits

`Ashurkhanas'

The Minister for Minorities Welfare and Fisheries, Mohammed Fareeduddin, on Tuesday visited the "Ashurkhanas" in old city in view of Muharrum.

The Minister paid tributes to Hazrat Imam Hussain Alai-Salam for his sacrifices. The "Mutawallis" of various institutions offered "Tabarrukat" to Mr. Fareeduddin, according to a press release.
