SI suspended on graft charge

HYDERABAD, FEB. 15. A Sub-inspector of police, K. Bhaskar, attached to the Tandur police station in Ranga Reddy district, was suspended following allegations of corruption against him. The RR district SP, E. Damodar, said that the SI permitted a lorry carrying smuggled rice meant for Food for Work programme after he allegedly received bribe. "He is under suspension pending a detailed enquiry," Mr. Damodar said.
