BANGALORE, FEB. 15. A labourer was killed when earth caved in while he was digging a trench for the construction of a house in the J.P. Nagar Police Station limits on Tuesday. The police said labourers had dug a 10-foot trench for laying the foundation of the house. A portion of the embankment collapsed around 5 p.m. and the labourer, who was caught under it, was killed. The police and Fire Service personnel removed the body. The identity of the dead, aged around 25, is not known. The police said he could be from Raichur district. A case has been registered.
