First win for Churchill
MARGAO,
FEB. 16.
A brace by Man-of-the-match Yakubu Yusif enabled 10-man Coca-Cola Churchill Brothers come from behind and defeat Vasco Sports Club 2-1 at the Nehru Stadium, Fatorda today. This was Churchill Brothers' first win in the ONGC Cup IX National Football League.
Yakubu struck in the 25th and 39th minutes. Vasco's goal came through Sidney Rodrigues in the 9th minute.
With today's win, Churchill Brothers took its points tally to 5 from seven matches, while Vasco remained at the bottom with 2 points. — UNI
