Serena likely to play in Kolkata

KOLKATA, FEB. 16. Australian Open champion Serena Williams may play in the WTA Sunfeast Open — 2005, to be held here from September 19 to September 25.

Tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi will meet West Bengal Chief Minister, Buddhadev Bhattacharjee, on March 8 to discus about the $170,000 event.

State Urban Development Minister, Ashok Bhattacharya, told reporters here that a committee, headed by the Chief Minister, has been formed for the smooth conduct of the event, sponsored by ITC.

India's Sania Mirza and Shikha Oberoi are also expected for the event. — PTI
