Swearing-in as scheduled

THRISSUR, FEB. 16. The Guruvayur Devaswom authorities clarified on Wednesday evening that the swearing-in ceremony of the new Devaswom Managing Committee members will be held as per schedule on Thursday morning as the High Court has not issued any stay order in the petition filed in the Court against the new committee. The petition against the new committee has been filed on behalf of an organisation called Prathikarana Vedi by Venugopal Pazhoor. Sources in the Devaswom said the new members in the committee are K. Velayudhan Nambiar, N.K. Sudhir, V. Thrivikraman Nair, R. Rajesekharan, P.N.P. Panikker and S.N. Gopalan. They will be sworn in at a function at the Devaswom conference hall at 9 a.m.
