PONDICHERRY, FEB. 17. The Centrally-administered JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research) here will hold on February 20 its entrance examination for admission to postgraduate courses during the session 2005. K.S. Reddy, Dean, said in a press release today that the admission would be for MS, MD and also diploma courses. A total of 5,485 candidates would appear for the entrance test, which would be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The test will be held in six centres here and the centre-wise break-up of candidates is: Government Girls HSS, Kadhirkamam (1000 candidates); St. Patrick Matriculation HSS, Saradambal Nagar (1000); Vivekananda HSS Chellaperumalpet (1500); Navalar Nedunchezian Government HSS, Lawspet (500); Fatima HSS, Karuvadikuppam (500) and in the Community Hall and Institute building in JIPMER (985). The Dean said the results would be published on or before February 23 on the college notice board and also through the institute's website (www.jipmer.edu) and counselling would be held from March 22 to 26 at 10 a.m.
