`Low cost' storage solution

BANGALORE, FEB. 17. Mirroring the trends that industry experts forecast at the MAIT Storage Conference, the world's biggest PC maker Dell and storage leader EMC have joined hands to offer an entry-level solution for small and medium companies planning a networked storage.

The Dell/ EMC AX100i, launched today, comes with dual controllers and can take up to 12 storage drives of the SATA type, slated to be the new standard. The capacity can vary from 480 GB to 3 TB (3000 GB). The solution starts at just under Rs. 3 lakhs.
