Chennai. Feb. 17. Chennai Port Trust won the overall championship with 549 points in the All India Major Ports sports meet at the Nehru stadium here on Thursday. In athletics too Chennai claimed both the men's and women's titles and it emerged winner in body building, weight-lifting, carrom and swimming. C. Rana Madhav was Mr. Major Port. This was how Chennai made it to the top on points table: Athletics (Men): 1. Chennai (134 pts), 2. Paradip (95). Women: 1. Chennai (92), 2. Paradip (23), Body-building: 1. Chennai (63), 2. Mumbai (57). Weightlifting: 1. Chennai (92), 2. Mumbai (55). Carrom: 1. Chennai (24), 2. Mumbai (16). Swimming: 1. Chennai (144), 2. Mumbai (43).
