Unbeaten century by Punja

BANGALORE, FEB. 17. Ashwin Punja's unbeaten 109 guided RBI Recreation Club to an eight-wicket victory over Karnataka Govt. Secretariat in a KSCA Group II, second division league match here recently.

Karnataka Govt. Secretariat scored 202 and RBI RC surpassed the total in 25.4 overs with Ashwin Punja and N. Ashwath (50 n.o.) scoring with ease.

Karnataka Govt. Secretariat 202 in 45 overs (H. Hanume Gowda 87, Krishna Murthy five for 45) lost to RBI Recreation Club 206 for two in 25.4 overs (Ashwin Punja 109 n.o., N. Ashwath 50 n.o.).

BEML RC 160 in 34 overs (A. Manohar 55, Pramod Kamath four for 27) lost to Corporation Bank 161 for two in 25.4 overs (Shashi Kumar 50 n.o., N. Nidhuvan 45).

ISAC CC 223 in 41.3 overs (Harish 50, Nirmal 48, B. Kumar 41, Richard Pink seven for 94) bt MEI SC 62 in 20.5 overs (B. Kumar four for 28).

BEML RC 289 for four in 50 overs (Srinivas 139 n.o., B.S. Raghotham 42) bt EPF. Rec. Club 147 in 36.2 overs (Shashidhar 49, Madhukumar five for 31).

MICO SC 197 in 41 overs (S. Murali 75, T.P. Nagaraj 58, Sanjeev Jadhav four for 28) bt Air India CC 189 in 38.3 overs (Piyush Sonaji 48, Diwakar Shetty 44, R. Babu four for 25).
