It is on this day, that the exponent of Dwaita philosophy, Sri Madhwacharya, went to Badarikashrama and disappeared. Sri Vishwapriya Tirtha Swamiji of Paryaya Sri Admar Mutt and other swamijis of the Ashta Mutts went to the Sri Ananteshwara Temple and offered special "puja" to the idol of Sri Madhwacharya. At the Sri Krishna Temple/Mutt also, special "pujas" were offered to the idol of Sri Madhwacharya. The scholars chanted the holy text, "Madhwa Vijaya" at the temple.
