VISAKHAPATNAM, FEB. 17. A man and his son committed suicide unable to bear the problem of mounting debts. According to the police, J. Appala Naidu, 35, and his son, Nanda Kishore, 9, were missing from their home at Ramnagar from Tuesday. Their bodies were found floating near the Sagar Durga beach on Thursday. Appala Raju owned a roadside cycle repair shop, which was removed by the municipal authorities recently. Police suspect that financial problems could have driven Naidu to take the extreme step. Malkapuram Police are investigating the case.
Contractor ends life
Sheik Abdul Sattar, a contractor with the Weights and Measures Department and father of two children, who had become habituated to liquor, was reportedly vexed with life. On Wednesday night, he hanged himself from a ceiling fan hook in his house and died. One Town police are investigating the case.
