This Day That Age
The Nepalese Prime Minister, Mr. M.P. Koirala on February 17 met Crown Prince Mahendra. It was his first meeting after the Prince returned from Nice. The meeting which lasted half an hour was confined to discussion of arrangements for the King's proclamation on the occasion of Nepal's fourth National Day. The Prime Minister indicated to newsmen after the meeting that the King's proclamation would vest the Crown Prince with full powers of "regent." The Prime Minister said there was no discussion with the Crown Prince on the Cabinet crisis, neither in his individual interview nor when the Cabinet met him. Asked about his resignation Mr. Koirala said, "There was no talk at all about the Government."
