CHENNAI, FEB. 18. Dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep. The minimum temperature rose appreciably at one or two places over north interior Tamil Nadu rose at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, fell at one or two places over south coastal Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were markedly to appreciably above normal at one or two places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, appreciably above normal at one or two places over interior Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka, above normal at one or two places over north Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema, south coastal Tamil Nadu, rest coastal Andhra Pradesh, north Kerala, below normal at one or two places over rest Tamil Nadu and were generally normal over the rest of the region. Dharmapuri and Tirupattur recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 19 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

Forecast (valid until Sunday morning): Mainly dry weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Farmers weather bulletin for Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry (valid until Sunday morning): Mainly sunny weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.
