THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, FEB. 18. The Action Council of State Employees and Teachers has resolved to go ahead with the State-wide indefinite strike from February 22, highlighting its demand for a time-bound pay revision and interim relief. The pay revision for teachers and employees of the State Government was due on March 1, 2002. Despite repeated demands for a concrete action in this regard, the Government has been resorting to delaying tactics and no action was forthcoming for the appointment of a pay commission, alleged C. H. Ashokan, general convener, Action Council of State Employees and Teachers; M.N.V.G. Adiyodi, general convener, Teachers and Service Organisations' Action Council; and P.P.M. Ashraf, general convener, Teachers and Service Organisations' Joint Council.
