BANGALORE, FEB. 19. One person was killed and another seriously injured when a BMTC bus hit a scooter and a motorcycle on Magadi Road, off Byadarahalli Cross, in Tavarekere police station limits on Saturday. The police said the accident occurred around 12.45 p.m. Radhakrishna (45), an employee of the Forest Department at Aranya Bhavan in Malleswaram, was killed on the spot. Radhakrishna had parked his scooter on the roadside and was talking to a friend when the accident occurred. After dashing against Radhakrishna's vehicle, the bus hit a motorcycle. The rider, Govindaraju, was seriously injured and has been hospitalised. His wife, who was riding pillion, suffered minor injuries, the police said. The Tavarekere police have seized the bus and arrested its driver.
