Bhiwani Boxing Club triumphs

NEW DELHI, FEB. 20. Mohit of Munirka Association knocked out Arun of Haryana Association to clinch the super heavyweight gold medal in the third all-India B. D. Chandiwala Junior Boxing Championship at the Chandiwala Estate here today.

Bhiwani Boxing Club clinched the team championship with 45 points, ahead of Munirka Association and Haryana Association, which collected 19 and 16 points respectively.

The results (finals): Light flyweight: Hrokhu bt Surender 33-10; Flyweight: Jitender bt Sunny 11-8; Bantamweight: Mahesh bt M. Suresh 35-22; Featherweight: Lalit bt Pardeep 34-15; Lightweight: Satpal bt Ravinder 23-4; Light welterweight: Sandeep bt Himanshu 20-6; Welterweight: Dinesh bt S. Gandhi RSC (OS) II; Middleweight: Ajay bt Krishna 24-13; Light heavyweight: Parminder bt Pawan 18-14; Heavyweight: Kaptan bt Manoj 23-16; Super heavyweight: Mohit bt Arun KO.
