Fire at Pallavi cinema, no injuries

BANGALORE, FEB. 20. The airconditioning unit at Pallavi cinema, near Kanteerava stadium, caught fire today at 3.30 p.m.

According to the fire force personnel, short-circuit could be the cause of the fire. The show was put off and people were evacuated.

No casualty or injuries have been reported due to the fire, police said.

Chain snatched

A gold chain worth Rs. 25,000 was snatched by a youth from Kalavathiammal (65) in Banasawadi police station limits on Sunday.

A resident of Kalyan Nagar, she was robbed of her chain while she was walking on the service road.

The police have registered a case.
