`Create awareness on consumer rights'

SANKAGIRI, FEB. 21. The members of self-help groups (SHG) should make the people, particularly the villagers aware of the consumer rights, the Sankagiri Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO), A. Shanmugasundaram, has said.

After flagging off the `Consumer awareness' rally organised jointly by the Tamil Nadu Consumer Vigilance Council and the Office of Sankagiri RDO here on Sunday, the RDO said that consumers were affected because of various irregularities in shops and business establishments and in service sectors.
