Rayudu's century gives Hyderabad the lead
MUMBAI,
FEB. 21.
Ambati Rayudu's 128 helped Hyderabad take a 109-run first innings lead over Saurashtra on the second day of the C. K. Nayudu Trophy under-22 cricket match here on Monday.
After dismissing Saurashtra for 246 in 65.3 overs, Hyderabad was in trouble, losing three wickets for 56 runs on Sunday.
Rayudu came up with a gem of an innings, hitting 20 fours and a six during his 189-minute stay at the wicket, and his 131-run partnership for the sixth wicket with Anoop Pai (88 in 132 balls) in 28.3 overs, helped Hyderabad total 355. Left arm seamer Kuldeep Sharma took four for 83 for Saurashtra.
Saurashtra was 139 for one in the second essay with Chauhan unbeaten on 89.
