A fabulous stadium: Sachin Tendulkar

HYDERABAD, FEB. 21. It's a fabulous stadium. This was the compliment paid by batting great Sachin Tendulkar when asked about the new Visakha International cricket stadium, venue of the four-day Duleep Trophy match between West Zone and South Zone from February 22.

Speaking to newsmen here today, Tendulkar lauded the efforts of N. Shivlal Yadav, secretary of Hyderabad Cricket Association, and his team of officials for coming up with this wonderful venue.

"There is still something more to be done. I know that it is not going to be easy to put so many things together to realise one's dream. But, once completed it should be a great venue," he added.

Tendulkar reminded that he was excited when Shivlal Yadav, as manager of the Indian team to Australia last year, was showing the design and the graphics showing the stage-wise completion of the stadium.

"It is always nice to see a stadium coming up in Hyderabad," he concluded. — Our Sports Reporter
