CHENNAI, FEB. 21. Three caveat petitions were filed in a city civil court here today against the honorary president of the All India Chess Federation, N. Srinivasan; honorary secretary C. V. Sundar; and honorary treasurer Neeraj Kumar Mishra. The petitions were filed separately by S. L. Harsh; treasurer V. R. Bobba; and secretary, P. K. Bhaskar. The petitions were filed in order to pre-empt the incumbent office-bearers of the AICF from getting any exparte interim orders against certain resolutions passed under the presidentship of Mr. Harsh at a meeting here on February 19. "Let nothing be done in the above matter without notice to the caveators," the petitions filed in the City Civil Court said. Among the resolutions adopted at the meeting include a no-confidence motion against Mr. Srinivasan, and appointment of Mr. Harsh as AICF president. While Mr. Bobba and Mr. Bhaskar had given the All India Chess Federation's Chess India Complex at Kozhikode as their addresses, Mr. Harsh had given a Bikaner address in the caveat Our Staff Reporter.
