Hearing today on counting of votes

By Our Legal Correspondent

NEW DELHI, FEB. 21. The Supreme Court will hear tomorrow a writ petition filed by an Indian National Lok Dal candidate seeking to restrain the Election Commission from counting the votes for the Haryana Assembly elections on February 23, instead of February 27 as originally scheduled.

A three-judge Benchfixed the date of hearing after senior counsel, Mukul Rohatgi, pleaded for early hearing of the petition by Jile Singh.
