BSNL executives to strike work

MALAPPURAM,
FEB. 21.
BSNL executives numbering about 45,000 will go on a nation-wide agitation from tomorrow in protest against non-implementation of pay scales and the promotion policy offered to them as part of the terms and conditions on absorption into BSNL. K.D. Sebastian, circle president of Sanchar Nigam Executives Association (India), said today that the BSNL management had failed to keep its word on the promotion policy. Telecom officers under the banner of the United Forum for Executives in BSNL will observe `Demands Day' tomorrow.
