Weather

Forecast: Partly cloudy sky. At Waltair, the maximum temperature was 30 degree Celsius and the minimum was 22 degree Celsius on Monday. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 79 per cent and at 5.30 p.m. was 71 per cent.

At Airport, the maximum and minimum temperatures were 35.6 degree Celsius and 20.4 degree Celsius. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 82 per cent and at 5.30 p.m. was 38 per cent.

The maximum and minimum temperatures were 31.6 degree Celsius and 21.1 degree Celsius at the Dolphin's Nose. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 85 per cent.

New bank

premises

The new premises of the Canara Bank's MVP Colony branch, which is also the first completely air-conditioned branch of the bank in Visakha region, was inaugurated on the MVP double road by the Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University, Y.C. Simhadri, on Monday. The General Manager of the bank's Circle Office (Hyderabad), S. Jayaraman, commissioned an ATM, sixth of the bank in the city.

Yoga camp

The urban unit of the APUWJ, along with the VJF, will organise a free yoga camp for journalists and employees of print and electronic media at the VJF Press Club, Seethammadhara from Tuesday to March 3. Neelam Babu Rao of Visakha Yoga Bharathi will conduct the camp.

Water tank

The Municipal Corporation said that work on construction of a Rs. 47 lakh 450 KL capacity water tank to supply drinking water to residents of Jayabharat Nagar, Srinivasa Nagar and Indira Nagar in the 37th Division, has been completed.

Seminar on

homoeopathy

A seminar to create awareness on homoeopathy was conducted on Monday. All diseases could be treated with the help of homoeopathy, said the Regional Deputy Director (homoeopathy), Onnuru Setty. The Principal of the Govt. Homoeopathy College and the Dr. B.K. Bose memorial National Best Teacher awardee, S. Praveen Kumar, explained the features of homoeopathy.

Free yoga camp

The Swamy Vivekananda Naturopathy and Yoga Society in association with the National Institute of Naturopathy (Pune) will organise a free naturopathy and yoga camp at its premises, HIG 19/B, Sector 10, MVP Colony here from February 23 to 27. Details can be had over telephone 2725805.
