Meet on jaundice outbreak

A meeting of officials concerned to seek preventive measures against jaundice outbreak will be convened at the Collectorate conference hall on Tuesday at 11.30 a.m.

Passports issued

The Regional Passport Office, Kochi, has processed and issued passports for applications received till January 4, 2005, where the police verification has been completed. The passports have been despatched in the week ending February 18, said the regional passport officer in a press release issued here today.

Flight delayed

NEDUMBASSERY, FEB. 21. The Silk Air flight, MI 467, bound for Singapore from the Nedumbassery airport, was delayed by three hours owing to technical snag. The flight was scheduled to leave at 11.15 p.m. yesterday.

The Tourism Minister, K. C. Venugopal, and the Tourism Secretary, E. K. Bharat Bhushan, who were on their way to Australia, were among the passengers. They waited in the VIP lounge of the terminal till the problem was rectified. The flight left at 2.20 a.m. this morning.
