BANGALORE, FEB. 21. Sangamitra (40), a housewife, was killed in a fire caused by a leak from a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder at her house in 1st Phase, J.P. Nagar, in the city on Monday. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), Ramasubba, told The Hindu that the incident took place around 12.30 p.m. There was no damage to the building. The police are investigating the incident, he said. The J.P. Nagar Police have registered a case. Sangamitra's husband works as an engineer with Bharath Sanchar Nigam Ltd., Mr. Ramasubba said.
