PONDICHERRY, FEB. 22. The Executive Director of the Bank of India, M. Balachandran, distributed Rs 10,000 each to 52 families affected by the tsunami in Vaithikuppam and Solai Nagar villages here on Monday. Mr. Balachandran earlier held discussions with the Chief Minister, N. Rangasamy, and discussed with him the various schemes under which the bank could distribute assistance and loans to the tsunami-hit villagers in Pondicherry and Karaikal.
