CHENNAI, FEB. 22. Isolated rainfall occurred over Kerala. Except for a light rain over Udumalpet, dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Lakshadweep. Varkala (Thiruvananthapuram Dt.) and Kollam recorded rainfall of 4 and 2 centimetres respectively. The minimum temperature fell appreciably at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, fell at one or two places over Coastal Karnataka, rose markedly to appreciably at one or two places over interior Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka, rose at a few places over Telangana, Rayalaseema, at one or two places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh, rest Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region. They were markedly below normal at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, appreciably below normal at a few places over coastal Karnataka, below normal at one or two places over south interior Karnataka, appreciably above normal at one or two places over rest south interior Karnataka, interior Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema, above normal at many places over rest Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places over Kerala and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Belgaum Airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 12 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (valid until Thursday Morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over south Kerala and mainly dry weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, north Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Farmers weather bulletin for Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry (valid until Thursday morning): Mainly sunny weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.
