KPCC not to tolerate parallel activities

By Our Special Correspondent

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, FEB. 22. The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president, Thennala Balakrishna Pillai, has said that parallel party activities by factions would be considered as coming under the purview of "indiscipline."

Addressing a press conference here today after the KPCC executive meeting, Mr. Pillai, obliquely referring to the proposed rallies called by the Karunakaran faction, said that the meeting felt there was no unresolved political issue that warranted such activities.

"It was highly inappropriate to carry on with parallel activities. We have decided to give the message urging those involved in such activities to call it off. These programmes are in the nature of party indiscipline," Mr. Pillai said.
