Salgaocar beats Fransa
MARGAO,
FEB. 22.
A last minute goal by Man-of-the-match Remus Gomes enabled former champion Salgaocar Sports Club prevail over Fransa Pax 2-1 in the ONGC Cup IX National Football League at the Nehru Stadium, Fatorda today.
For Salgaocar, the goals came through Felix Ibrebrue in the 10th minute and Remus Gomes in the 90th minute. Fransa's lone goal came in the 59th minute through Hardeep Saini.
With this win, Salgaocar increased its points tally to 11 and is on par with JCT, Mohun Bagan and Tollygunge Agragami. Fransa Pax, remained in fourth position with 13 points. — UNI
