Abhijith hits century
THRISSUR,
FEB. 21.
State under-22 star Abhijith Menon scored an unbeaten century and steered local side Surabhi Arcon CC to the quarterfinals of the 18th E.P. Pavoo memorial all-Kerala cricket tournament at the Sree Kerala Varma College Ground here on Tuesday. Surabhi defeated Pioneers CC, Cherpu, by 18 runs.
The scores: Surabhi Arcon 204 for three in 30 overs (Abhijith Menon 100 n.o.,) bt Pioneers 186 for nine in 30 overs (Sajith 49).
Octopals SC 113 in 21.4 overs (Sandeep 42) lost to Ernakulam CC 114 for one in 16 overs (Sanjay 46).
