Police submit report on Geelani case

NEW DELHI, FEB. 22. The Delhi Police today submitted a status report to the Supreme Court on its investigation into the assault on S.A.R. Geelani, college lecturer, here on February 8.

Appearing for the Delhi Police, senior counsel Gopal Subramanian submitted the report to a Bench, comprising Justice P. Venkatarama Reddi and Justice P.P. Naolekar, during the hearing of a batch of appeals relating to the Parliament attack case. Mr. Geelani, who had been acquitted by the Delhi High Court in the case, was shot at and injured as he was going to his lawyer's residence to discuss the case.
