NEW DELHI, FEB. 22. Clash of dates with Spanish and Australian amateur golf tournaments has taken the sheen out of the Indian event. The two-day Indian international amateur tournament starting February 26 will have competitors from China, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Last year, golfers from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, England, Ireland, France and Scotland took part in the 36-hole stroke-play event. The European players have entered the Spanish amateur championship while the New Zealanders will play in Australian championship. South Africa is also having its own event. Consequently, India will be fielding three teams, India `A', India `B' and India `C'. The six-day all-India amateur match-play championship will follow the international event. The final on March 5 will be played over 36 holes.
